Sharing the cost of a Nanny
In this present climate employing a nanny can be very costly. More and more people are looking at the benefits of sharing one nanny between two or sometimes more employers. This is not as difficult as you may think.
There are many ways you can share a nanny for example the nanny can work for one family 3 days per week and another family 2 days per week. The nanny could work the whole 5 days but for both families. She could work just a portion of the week for two families and the rest of the week for another family.
The lists are endless but splitting a tax code between two or more employers works very well when each employer agree a net pay salary.
Nanny payroll will calculate and implement the correct tax codes based on the percentage of salary each employer pays for example if in your employment you are paying 60% of the total net pay salary then this should follow through to 60% of the total cost of the payroll.
It is very important to know before hand that the nanny you are looking to share has got her full tax code before it is split, and all her paid income must be taken into account.
As we manage a share for the employer, we will also manage the Nanny's tax split. We will offer advice on how best to ensure there are no underpayments or overpayments of tax should the nanny leave a share part way through a tax year.
Nanny Payroll has been successfully calculating and implementing tax code splitting for Nanny's since the company began 17 years ago we are available at all times to help and advise on all payroll issues.
